New Safeway | Location | the Heights on Austin

Community at our core.

At Beedie Living, we are thrilled to bring our award-winning design and community-focused vision to Austin Heights. Two towers with sweeping views bring an amazing atmosphere into every home, while a brand-new Safeway and an array of local businesses at street level ensure a sense of community is just a few steps away.

A bold vision inspired by a vibrant past

We’re breathing new life into Austin Heights’ reputation as the bustling centre of the Tri-Cities. By seamlessly integrating new offerings, including a 65,000 sf flagship Safeway, into an eclectic mix of existing shops and restaurants, we’re enhancing a community built around relaxing walks, accessible shops and a shared sense of history.

What makes this community so special?

We chose this area because we knew it was going to grow and we wanted to get in and get our feet firmly planted. The location is so central. It’s only a 20-minute hop to wherever you want to go – Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Langley.

What attracted you to this neighbourhood?

I grew up here. I went to school in the area, played soccer, baseball. This is essentially my ‘hood. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. The fact that there is so much surrounding green space, like Como Lake, makes it even better.

Can you describe the vibe of this neighbourhood?

It’s really welcoming. We feel like we’re part of a growing community. It has a downtown feel but without the noise – there are so many independent shops and authentic restaurants.
